Advanced Transplant Solutions

Utilizing INTERLINK’s Performance Model to implement a performance based, narrowed network provides flexible options to meet plan goals.”

Transplant Performance Model

INTERLINK’s Performance Model provides an analytical assessment of a transplant program’s ability to provide exceptional performance compared to other programs. The Performance Model melds, the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) for solid organ and the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) for bone marrow, risk-adjusted transplant center outcomes with INTERLINK’s proprietary weighting system.

This allows for the implementation of performance driven, narrowed networks to better manage a health plan’s transplant population.

INTERLINK Performance Narrowed Networks

INTERLINK offers three statistically driven networks. Plans can choose the network that meets their needs. Unfortunately, 90% of candidates will select the transplant program closest to where they live, regardless of wait time, cost or outcomes.

We provide customizable coordinating benefit plan language that comes with a performance based, narrowed network. Inclusion of travel benefits to cover airfare, housing, food and transportation makes the best potential outcomes and travel available for every member.

PerformanceELITE

Our narrowest network, featuring approximately the top 10% of the highest-performing transplant programs by organ type.

PerformanceSELECT

Includes roughly the top 20% of programs, offering exceptional quality with expanded member choice.

PerformanceQUALITY

Our broadest performance-based network, representing approximately the top 40% of programs nationwide.

TransplantCUSTOM

For plans with regional or state-specific membership, our team designs a tailored network featuring the highest-performing centers within your coverage area.

What do the Performance Networks look like for Kidney transplant coverage?

Network composition and size vary by organ type. For instance, a kidney transplant is a routine procedure, but the cost of dialysis while waiting for a transplant is what drives overall cost. Performance Networks provide a narrowed selection of kidney transplant centers that have exceptional outcomes, higher transplant rates, and shorter wait times.
